What should I expect the first time I visit?

We know that it is not easy to visit the first time. You may be asking yourself questions such as:
Will I be conspicuous?
Will my children like it?
How do I dress?
Will they ask me for money?
Am I welcome if I am not sure that I believe?

We want your visit to be stress free, an enjoyable visit. So we have a brief overview of what to expect when you visit.

Visiting Church of the Four Seasons for the first time

Where do I park?
All parking is on the east side of the building. It is best to use the North Doors to the Agape Center. A volunteer at the Welcome Center will be waiting to help you get the children to Sunday School and take you to the Sanctuary.

What type of programs do you have for children and youth?
A loving Nursery is provided at all three services for children 3 and under. The Nursery is directly across from the Sanctuary for your convenience.

Sunday School classes are provided for Children  aged Preschool through 5th grade at the 9:30 and 11:00 am services. Middle school and Senior High youth meet during the 9:30 worship service. The Welcome Center volunteer will register your children and take you to their Sunday School Rooms.

What should I expect during the service?

You will be given a bulletin  with the order of worship and events occurring during the week. Worship is different every week, centered on singing, prayer
and a message from the pastor. We take an offering, but no one should feel obligated to
give, we want you to be our guest.

Music takes on a different style for each service. The 8am service, while traditional, is accompanied by a Praise Team and a piano . The 9:30 service has a Praise Band with vocals, guitar, piano and drums. The most current contemporary praise music is shared. The 11am service is our most traditional Worship Service accomanied by the COFS Choir and Organ.

We celebrate communion monthy, often on the first Sunday. We
serve an “Open Table”, inviting all who wish know Jesus to join us in the Lord’s Supper. You are welcome to share communion with us. If not, sit back and enjoy the music during this time.

After the service is over, your children in will be waiting in their class rooms. Pick up your children and join us at the Agape Café for coffee and a snack. Stop by the Welcome Center, we have a gift for you ! Please fill out an information card so we can get to know you better. The Welcome Center also has COFS brochures and information about our ministries.

Don’t hesitate to contact 219-663-7803 or office@mycofs.org  if we can help you in any way. We apprecaite your visit to Church of the Four Seasons.
